Charles D. Chambers

Charles D. Chambers, 85, of La Junta, passed away on March 12, 2013 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center in La Junta. He was born on December 29, 1927 in Baca County to Isom & Ellen (Bassett) Chambers. 

Charles is survived by sons, Jerry (Marilyn) Chambers of La Junta; James (Jayne) Chambers of Fallon, NV; Richard (Laura) Chambers of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Trevor, Megan, Jacob, and Elisabeth Chambers; great-granddaughter, Summer Chambers; brother, Arthur (Sharon) Chambers of Salida, CO; sister, Mae (Don) Hogsett of Denver. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arkansas Valley Hospice, PO Box 408, La Junta, CO, 81050 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Connie Elder, 721 Carson Avenue, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the funeral home.

Memorial services will be Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Dr. MJ Romano officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Rocky Ford Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
