Johnnie Dee (Graham) Casebolt, 93, of La Junta passed away on May 1, 2012 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center. She was born on April 6, 1919 in Hanford County, Texas to John Dee & Bernice (Doyle) Graham. She married George Casebolt on January 27, 1936; he preceded her in death.
Her family’s first trip to Colorado was in a covered wagon. They returned to Texas and then moved back to Colorado where they made their home.
Johnnie was an honest and hardworking lady that loved her family dearly!
She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Paul) Wood, son, Jim Tooter (Dana) Casebolt, sister, Patsy (Bill) Laycock, brother, Dave (Darla) Graham, sister-in-laws, Edith Graham, grandchildren, Jim (Geri) Casebolt, Janet (Ray) Pearcy, Carol Lynch, Peggy Cervone, Paula (Rick) Klein, Bryn (Kyle) Fox, Brooke (Frank) Sirartes, Kirsten (Carlos), Sara Casebolt and two step-children, great-grandchildren, Sydney, Shelby Casebolt, Ray, Desire Persey, Anna Maria (Jake) Hoban, Gianna (Dan) Woo, Carolina Cervone, Jessica and Tiffany Klein, Rolland and Alex Casebolt, great, great-grandchildren, Isabella, Guilanna and Jacob Hoban. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, John and Michael Caseblot, sisters, Katie Hall and Sue Reed, brothers, Doyle (Margret) Graham, Bobby and Duane Graham, grandson-in-law, Victor Cervone, and granddaughter, Georgia Lee Casebolt.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice or to Arkansas Valley Hospice Assoc., P.O. Box 408, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the funeral home.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012, from noon to 3:00 p.m., at the OJC Student Center Banquet Room.
