On November 10, 2021, Kathleen M. Bonjour peacefully joined the Lord and was reunited with her late husband and love of her life, Donald Bonjour.
Kathy was born on November 1, 1941 to Harold and Mary Gretillat in southwestern Minnesota. She was raised in Iowa with her 2 brothers Arno and Larry. She enjoyed growing up on the farm and cooking many meals for her dad and brothers. She graduated from Sheffield High School in 1960, where she met the love of her life and husband of 58 years, Donald M Bonjour. They married on July 9,1961 in Clear Lake Iowa. They then had 4 children K'Lee, Russell, Shelley, and Edwin and lived a long and happy life as a military family moving to several different Army bases in the states and in Europe raising their 4 army brats. Kathy enjoyed staying home with her children and also enjoyed providing childcare for many other army families, treating them all as her own. They retired in Pueblo, CO and shortly after relocated to Fowler where Kathy spent many years Bartending and waiting tables, creating many lifelong friendships and memories that she cherished dearly to this day. Kathleen was recently able to celebrate her 80th birthday with her family just days before her passing.
Kathy is survived by, children K'Lee Burkhart, Russell (Linda) Bonjour, Shelley (Roland) Ourso, Edwin (Wanda) Bonjour, 12 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren (and was expecting a new great-great grandchild in June 2022) brothers Arno (Rhonda) Gretillat, and Larry Gretillat, multiple nieces and nephews, and many loving friends. She is preceded in death by husband Donald, both parents, granddaughter Marilee, and son in law Kim Burkhart.
Kathy was a beautiful, loving, and caring woman who will be missed dearly by everyone that knew her.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at the West Assembly of God in Fowler, CO, officiated by Pastor Daryl Johnson.
