Kenneth Lee Conley, 66, of Aurora, Colorado and formerly of La Junta passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Denver Hospice Inpatient Care Center. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 30, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Pritchett Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Military Honors.
Kenneth was born on September 8, 1943 in La Junta, Colorado to Francis “Alec” & Bonnie (Lee) Conley.
He graduated from La Junta High School class of 1961 and he attended Otero Junior College. He served in the Navy during Vietnam, he was a Koshare Indian. He enjoyed collecting coins and doing genealogy research.
Kenneth is survived by his son, James Conley of Aurora; daughter, Kimberly Thornton of Aurora; brother, F. Alec (Nell) Conley of Fall Brook, CA; grandchildren, Stephanie Conley, Carrie Conley, and Jacob Thornton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis “Alec” & Bonnie Conley.
