Lucy B. Moreno

Lucy B. Moreno, 84, of La Junta, passed away on Feb. 17, 2014 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo. She was born an March 12, 1929, in Las Animas, CO to Pablo & Pablita (Ramirez) Baca. Lucy Married Horacio Moreno on November 17, 1948 in La Junta; he preceded her in death on March 3, 1994.


Lucy was a member and enjoyed her church family at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish. Lucy helped anyone in need. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.


Lucy is survived by her sons, Horace (Susan) Moreno, George Moreno, Raymond Moreno, Leo Moreno, Albert Moreno, Jim (Jan) Moreno; daughter, Sue (Douglas); many nieces and nephews, her best friend, Sadie Archuleta; 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. and the Memorial Mass will be Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be at our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish.
