Alice M. Stover, 85, of Manzanola, passed away March 26, 2013, at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care West. Alice Stover was born October 12, 1927 in Kim, Colorado to Thomas Daniel and Mary Alice Sutton. She married Albert “Bud” Stover of Manzanola on July 2, 1949; he preceded her in death on August 14, 2000.
Alice graduated from Fowler High School. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Manzanola. Alice and Bud operated a real estate and insurance business, Beaty Agency, for over 50 years. Seven children were born to Alice and Bud.
Alice is survived by her children, Cheryl (Daryl) Grasmick of Rocky Ford, Richard (Mary) Stover of Normal, Illinois, Ed (Paula) Stover of La Junta, Tom (Luann) Stover of Montrose, Pam (Jerry) Marroney of Lone Tree, and Lisa (Delmore) Walton of Pueblo; siblings, Ruth (Roy) McCown of Avondale, AnnaLee Kimble of Pueblo, and John Sutton of Georgetown, Tennessee; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years and her son Jim Stover.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Manzanola direct or through the funeral home.
Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church of Manzanola with Pastor John Dell officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountainview Cemetery in Manzanola.
