Aline B. Stewart

Aline B. Stewart, 87, of La Junta, went home to be
with her husband Clyde on May 15, 2013 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical
Center. Aline was born on December 27, 1925 in Elkhart, Kansas to Aaron Bane
& Charlotte (Doris) Murray. She married Clyde T. Stewart on July 20, 1936 in
Raton, New Mexico; he preceded her in death on January 29, 1991.


 


Aline moved to La Junta as a small child and attended
school in La Junta and graduated from La Junta High School.  


 


Aline is survived by her children,
Jerre (Don) Henderson, Lola (Gary) Pettitt, Clyde W. Stewart, Stanley (Laura)
Stewart, and Dorothy Stewart; son-in-law, John Sallie; 17 grandchildren, 16
great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandchild survive. Preceded in death
are her parents, husband, daughter, Marie Sallie, grandson, Aaron Pettitt,
brothers & sisters-in-law, Ralph Murray, Allan (Betty) Murray, and Wesley
Murray; sisters & brothers-in-law, Alma (Bill) Bemess, Buelah (AL) Wolber,
Lola (Chuck) Howell; sister-in-law, Betty Murray.


 


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity
of choice direct or through the funeral home.


 






Funeral service will be Monday, May 20, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Andy Albright of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery following service.
