Alvie Hampton Knight

Alvie Hampton Knight, 69, of Sugar City passed away on January 5, 2021 at the Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was born on March 18, 1951 in Englewood, Colorado to Robert Hampton & Alma Lee (Stallsworth) Knight.


Alvie worked as security guard for over 25 years. He was a lifelong Denver Bronco fan. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria of the family home; children, Phillips (Melissa) Knight of Kansas; Maria Knight of Sugar City; Robert (Joy) Knight of Denver; Danny Knight of Denver; LeRoy Knight of Nebraska; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Ezelle and Marlene Baugh both of Canon City. He was preceded in death by his parents and bothers, Rick and Robbin Knight.

A Memorial service will be Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Alvie’s home at 202 W. Denver Street in Sugar City.
