Amy L. Richardson, 83, passed away on July 28, 2016 at the home of Lester and Diane with her children and grandchildren at her side. She was born on January 5, 1933 to Clyde & Mae (Cook) Clester in Danville, Illinois. She moved to Fowler in 1952 with her husband, George T. Richardson who preceded her in death in 1998.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Sona) Richardson of Phoenix, AZ; Diane (Lester) McElroy of La Junta; Gerald (Bobi) Richardson of Sherwood, OR; grandchildren, Beth (Brian Valencia) Taylor of La Junta; Nate (Ashling) Richardson of Coventry, UK; Matthew Richardson of Phoenix, AZ; Jeffrey Richardson and Ivy, Aaron (Brittany) Richardson and Lily and AJ; great-grandchildren, Michael and Aiden Richardson, Izabella Taylor and Draiden, Brian, Bentley and Ezekiel Valencia. Also surviving grandchildren & great-grandchildren of the heart, Damion and Caren McElroy, Cayleen and Tabor Weaver, Sydney and David McElroy, Anthony and Nikki Turner, Mackenzie, Morgann and Miles Turner, Adam and Beverly McElroy, Abby and Riley, Corey and Kat Meredith, Alice and Dominic, and Casey Meredith. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Florence; husband, infant daughter and Alyssa McElroy.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Swink United Methodist Church with Pastor Susan Burley and Ryan Trosper officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Fowler Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions may be made to the Fowler Public Library, Woodruff Memorial Library in La Junta or the Arkansas Valley Hospice direct or through the funeral home.
