Ann L. Clem, 76, passed away peacefully at her La Junta home on April 6, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 6, 1941 in Altus, Oklahoma to Marvin T. & Margaret J. (Leonard) Landers. She married Kenneth Don Clem on September 9, 1957 in Plainview, Texas; he preceded her in death on November 30, 2000.
She grew up in Levelland, Texas and attended Levelland High School. In 1963 the Clems moved to La Junta where they chose to settle and raise their family. Ann worked multiple jobs throughout her life, and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Her biggest achievements were raising six children and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her five children, Kevin (Candace) Clem of Lubbock, TX; Kyle (Audrey) Clem of Burlingame, KS; Kerry Clem of La Junta; Karen (James) Landon of Smithville, TX; Kristy (Chris) Zimmerman of Bailey, CO; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild and her sister, Candy King of Grand Junction, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Kathy.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Mills officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in La Junta. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
