Barbara Ann Eye

Barbara Ann Eye, 87, passed away on November 14, 2017 at the Pioneer Health Care Center in Rocky Ford. She was born on November 23, 1929 to Karl & Anna (Taylor) Eye in La Junta.

She started working for the VA Hospital Systems in Long Beach, California from 1951 to 1991 where she completed her work as the executive secretary at the V.A. Hospital in Los Angeles. She was also involved in the ADWA of Long Beach, The Grange and Rebekahs.

She is survived by her sister, Sue (Ben) Hall of La Junta and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Mary Louise; sisters, Charleen (Raymond) Minck, Janetta Jaynes, Leslie Jaynes; brother, Melvin Eye; nephews, Larry Hall, Jerry & David Jaynes; nieces, Karen & Marilyn Jaynes.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to Arkansas Valley Hospice, PO Box 408, La Junta, CO 81050 direct or through the funeral home.
