Barbara J. Roberson

Barbara J. Roberson, 72, of La Junta, passed away on Nov. 16, 2013 at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 13, 1941 in Las Animas, CO to William Walter & Velma Beatrice (Davis) Tull. Barbara married Clarence Lee Roberson on April 2, 1960 in Cheraw, Colorado; he preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2011.

Barbara graduated from Cheraw High School in 1959 and worked for Farmland Industries for over 30 years. She was a member of the Cheraw United Methodist Church.

She is survived by sons, Chad (Shawn) Roberson of Eads, CO, Dale (Susan) Roberson of Manassas, VA, and Ty (Nikki) Roberson of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Robin (Loyd) Broce of Cheraw; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a great, great-grandchild; sisters, Stella (Larry) Wickham of Virginia Beach, VA, and Peg (Kent) Miller of Las Animas; brother, Ron (Tina) Tull of Forks, WA; numerous nieces and nephews survive; and her best friend Pat Kesterson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Arkansas Valley Hospice Assoc., P.O. Box 408, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the funeral home.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Cheraw United Methodist Church with Reverend Tom Dudley officiating. Inurnment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Lyon National Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
