Bennie A.
Martinez, 87, passed away on December 3, 2015 at his La Junta home. He was born
on June 21, 1928 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Antonio & Maria A. (Archuleta)
Martinez.


Bennie retired
from the Mechanical Department with the City of La Junta. He enjoyed taking
trips with his friend, Luther Britton on their motorcycles to New Mexico. He
also enjoyed painting cars, watching western movies and t.v. shows, anything
John Wayne.

He loved spending time with
his family and friends, and will be dearly missed.

 

He is survived by
his children, Vickie (Larry) Aragon of La Junta; Cathy (Mark) Martinez of La
Junta; Bennie (Maryann) Martinez of La Junta; Andrew (Susie) Martinez of Las
Animas; brother, Felix Martinez of Denver; numerous grandchildren, nieces &
nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Larry
Martinez; brothers, Marcel and Tony Martinez; and sisters, Alice Stephens and
Sadie Martinez.

Recitation
of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. followed by
a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick
Parish with Father Matthew Wertin officiating.
