Beulah Lundquist

July 16, 1926 — December 27, 2015

Beulah “Scotty” Lundquist, 89, passed away on December 27,
2015 at the Crowley County Nursing Center. She was born on July 16, 1926 to
John Jack & Bertha (Riddle) Waddell. She married Kenneth Cleo Lundquist in
Garwood, Texas in 1952; he preceded her in death on December 11, 1991.
 
Beulah graduated high school in Eagle Lake, Texas in 1943
and went right into nursing training in Houston, Texas at Hermann Hospital and
then graduating from the University of Houston in 1946. During WWII she worked
in Houston as a Registered Nurse until she married Kenneth Cleo Lundquist. They
moved to Fowler, Colorado in 1966 then moved to a small farm near Rocky Ford
where they made their home until Kenneth’s passing. Beulah worked as a Registered
Nurse in Pueblo and in Otero County for many years. During her retirement she
enjoyed spending time with her husband and loved helping raise and spoil her
grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed ceramics and gardening. 
 
She is survived by her children, Janet Lundquist, Scott
(Donna) Lundquist, Joel (Sandra) Lundquist, David (Carol) Lundquist, Jill
(Mark) Seltzer, and Kendra Smith; grandchildren, Dawn Granger, Destinee Tran,
Desiree Lundquist, Dominic Lundquist, Donavin Lundquist, Trenton Lundquist,
Tyler Lundquist, Nicholas Seltzer, Adam Smith, Mason Smith, Sarah (Arnold)
Clem; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and
husband.
 
In
lieu of flowers those wishing to make memorial contributions to Arkansas Valley
Hospice or Sangre de Cristo Hospice direct or through the funeral home.
 
Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home &
Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015
at 1:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow at the Rocky Ford
Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to services at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
