Beverly Arlene Rigsby

Beverly “Bev” Arlene Rigsby, 69 of La Junta, CO, passed away on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bev was born November 26th, 1950 in La Junta, CO to James and Charlotte Rider. She attended schools in La Junta, graduating from La Junta High School in 1968, and later obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences. She married her soul mate, Max Rigsby, March 20th, 1999 in La Junta. They enjoyed traveling with their 5th wheel and spending time at their lake house in Mesquite, Texas. Bev had an amazing sense of humor and found the joy in all occasions. She always had a witty come back or a practical joke to play on those she loved.

Bev is survived by her daughter, Jami (Jason) Bennett of San Antonio, TX; son, Bo (Denice) Eden of La Junta; granddaughter, Devony (Jake White) Carey; grandsons, Tyler and Jackson Eden of La Junta; Andrew (Monica) Bennett of San Antonio, TX and Jacob Bennett of La Coste, TX; great-grandsons, Oliver White and Liam Bennett; sister, Kathy (Clarence) Groves of Grand Junction, CO; brothers, Butch (Kat) Rider of Las Animas, CO and Gary (Rosanna) Rider of Grand Junction, CO. She is also survived by many wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Max; parents, James and Charlotte Rider, and sister, Linda Rosengrant.

A celebration of life will be Monday, December 16, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. for the viewing and 10:00 am for the service. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
