She was in remission, but the third round of chemotherapy to beat the cancer into submission knocked out her immune system and the strep bacteria attacked. Carlye was the daughter of Dale Allen and Samantha Kay (Werner) Yocam of Kim; granddaughter of Gary and Jennie Yocam of Kim and Marion (Curtis) Werner and the late Harold Werner of Canon City, CO. She is survived by her Uncle Gene (Katherine) Yocam of Kim, and first cousins; Amanda (Brandon) Hare and their daughter Austin of Logan, NM, and Lance and Rex Yocam of Kim. She was loved by many Great Uncles and Great Aunts, more cousins and numerous friends.

Carlye was a junior at Kim Undivided High School where she was active in FFA, FBLA, student council, NHS and yearbook. She enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball, and running the 800 in track along with throwing discus. She was very active in 4-H and an active member of the Kim First Baptist Church. She was honored to be on the National Qualifying Parliamentary Procedure team in FBLA; the team traveled to Nashville, TN last summer to compete. She was also honored to receive the Ina Oatman All Around 4H award this past fall in 4-H for her success in showing market goats and cake decorating. Her passions were listening to music, caring for her animals, decorating cakes, making people smile, and eating chicken quesadillas and macaroni and cheese.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
