Charles Earl Gee, 83, of Rocky Ford passed away on December 1, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was born on December 16, 1933 to Charles Woodward & Mada (Johnson) Gee, he was very proud of the fact that he was born in a dugout at Rattle Snake Buttes, Colorado. He married Prudence Ann Sanders on January 18, 1953.
He graduated from Manzanola High School in 1952. He worked as a truck driver and mechanic for RD Lewis, Wright Motor Lines, Bray and TLM. He operated his own mechanic shop, Charlie’s Repair Shop for a time. He also ran a small 40 acre farm with a few cows and enjoyed the country life. Many memories were made with him going coyote, rabbit, elk and the occasional bear hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Hans) Fedde; grandson, Ethan (Karlee) Fedde; great-grandson, Hesston Fedde; sisters, Josephine Davis, Violet Hood and Katherine Harless; sister-in-law, Carol (Don) Gause; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons, Charles E. Gee, Jr. and Jeffery Mark Gee; daughter, Gail Ann Gee; granddaughter, Jordan C. Fedde; brother, Gerald Gee; sister, Margaret Roberts; sisters-in-law, Mildred Webb and Eleanor Clifton; brothers-in-law, Edwin, James, Homer, Robert, Jerry, & Carl Sanders.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., at the Rocky Ford Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to service at Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
