Claudette Yvonne Lindsay

January 4, 1942 — April 12, 2016

Claudette Yvonne Lindsay, 74, of La Junta went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.
 
She was born January 4, 1942 in Shawnee Oklahoma to Claude and Merle Hamilton and moved to Rocky Ford at the age of 2.  After graduating from Rocky Ford High School in 1960, she married Virgil Lindsay where they raised their family in Rocky Ford before moving to La Junta.  Her passion was spending time with her 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
 
Claudette owned her own floral design business and worked at Colorado Bank and Trust.  She was active at Valley Community Church. 
 
Claudette is survived by her husband Virgil of the La Junta home, children, Chuck (Sherry) Lindsay of Monument, CO, their children Kyle and Matt; Greg (Beth) Lindsay of Evergreen, CO, their children Kristen, Brad and Ben, and Cathy Myers of Pueblo, CO, her children Emilie (Cody) Martinez and Daniel Myers. Siblings, Jackie Marshall of La Junta, Bette Mellinger of La Grande, Oregon, Billy Hamilton of Colorado Springs, CO, and Richard Hamilton of Broomfield, CO.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers CL and Larry Hamilton.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

A celebration of her life will be held at Valley Community Church, 27435 County Road 22.75, Rocky Ford, on Monday, April 18 at 10:30 am.  Visitation will be held at Peacock Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
