Darlene Annette Moench

Darlene Annette Moench, 64, of La Junta passed away on July 10, 2022, at the Bent County Healthcare Center in Las Animas. She was born on July 26, 1957, in Denver to Gordon & Helen (Lucero) Moench.

Darlene was a generous spirit who always found time to volunteer or sit and comfort a friend. A special person with a strong faith in Jesus Christ, Darlene will be missed by many.

She is survived by her children, David (Nicole) Mackin of Havre De Grace, MD; Jenni Mackin of Yakima, WA; mother, Helen Moench of La Junta; siblings, Gordon (Audrey) Moench, Jr. of Ordway; Laurie (Frank) Zele of Aguilar, CO; Lydia Moench of La Junta; grandchildren, Natalie (Derrick) Hughey, Emily Mackin and Tyler David Mackin all of Havre De Grace, MD; Dirk, Blair and Bree Mackin all of Yakima, WA; great-granddaughter, Kylie Taylor; six nieces & nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Moench and nephew, Joseph Pryor.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor James Crandall officiating.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to the La Junta Pregnancy Center or Ark Valley Hospice direct or through the funeral home.
