David F. Dudley, Jr.

David F. Dudley, Jr., 78, of La Junta passed away on December 25, 2014 at his son & daughter-in-laws home. He was born on January 18, 1936 in Woodsville, New Hampshire to David & Betty (Bayliss) Dudley, Sr. He married Micheline  Legras on December 30, 1961.
   
David was served in the Korean War two times and also in the Vietnam War. He served with the United States Army for 22 years as a Mechanic. He retired from U-Haul Portsmouth, NH in 2000 and then the following year David and Micheline moved to La Junta. While living in La Junta he worked for Carls Jr. and then Car Buff. He was member of the American Legion. He had many friends and family that loved and adored him very much. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed.
 
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Micheline of the La Junta home; children, Gabriel (Laurie) Dudley of New Hampshire; James (Mary) Dudley of Colorado; Frank (Kassandra) Dudley of Colorado; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; siblings, Flo Dudley of Florida, Nancy Saltmarch of NH, James (Phyllis) Dudley of VT, Donald Dudley of MN, and Joan (Harlow) Ward of NH. He was preceded in death by his father, David F. Dudley, Sr. on March 3, 1976, sister Margaret on Oct. 11, 2003, son, David F. Dudley, III on May 25, 2008 and grandson, Austyn Dudley on Sept. 6, 2004.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 2, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Deacon Allen Medina officiating of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, January 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
