Debbie P. Morgan

Debbie Morgan, 57, passed away on May 10, 2017 at her La Junta home. She was born on August 20, 1959 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Demetrio Salas.

Debbie graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1977. Following graduation she moved to California and started working at Globe Bearing in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Times in Orange County, Kmart in La Verne, CA, and Sam's Club in Chino Hills, CA. She moved back to La Junta in July of 2008 and worked at the Holiday Inn. Debbie loved raising her four children and being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Carrillo of the La Junta home; children, Danny Morgan of Baton Rouge, LA, Matthew Morgan of Fontana, CA, Amanda Morgan of La Junta, and Michelle Myers of Rancho Murrieta, CA; brother, Larry Salas of Rocky Ford, step-daughter, Cindy Carrillo of Albuquerque, NM, step-sons, Jessie Carrillo, Erik Carrillo and Jeremy Carrillo all of La Junta; grandchildren, Stephen Morgan, Elana Villarreal, Alyssa Morgan, Jason Morgan, Anyah Carrillo, J.D. Carrillo, Jerik Carrillo, Liam & Leon Carrillo, Allison Myers, Kate Myers and Sarah Myers. She was preceded in death by her father.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. both services will be at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford with Father Paul Ekeh officiating.
