Dennilee Mishou

April 24, 1952 — July 5, 2019

Dennilee “Sissy” Hill Mishou, 67, passed away on July 5, 2019 at her Saint Paul, Minnesota home. She was born on April 24, 19526 in La Junta to George A. & Verona (Allen) Hill.

Sissy went to school in La Junta, graduating with the class of 1970. She attended Western State College in Gunnison, Otero Junior College, Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education and a minor in Elementary/Vocational Education. After graduation, she taught school, worked in fabric and sewing retail sales and was a travel agent. Staying with the travel industry, she last worked for Sun Country Airlines in the twin cities area. Sis was a people person and never met a stranger. She enjoyed traveling and sports, the highlight of which was running her football pool. She also loved sewing, crafts, recipes and cooking but most of all sharing them. She will be missed.

She is survived by her brother, Allan (Joan DeGrado) Hill of La Junta; niece Niki of Vail; nephew, Jason of La Junta; brother, Dave (Janet) Hill of La Junta; nephew, Patrick of La Junta; and nephew, Timothy of Severance and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents.

As per her request cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick’s Parish Hall.

Those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to the United Methodist Church of La Junta or the American Breast Cancer Society.
