Dennis Wayne Mitchell

Dennis Wayne Mitchell, 59, of Sugar City passed away on March 12, 2021 at the Arkansas Valley Hospital in La Junta. He was born on January 22, 1962 to Carl E. & Juanita Faye (Willis) in Marysville, California.

Dennis was a fun loving father and grandfather. He lived his life to the fullest. Dennis worked extremely hard to give his daughters everything they needed. His girls were his everything. His deep calming voice and bright smile was always the center of the room. Dennis may be gone but the memories he made with his family and friends will live forever.

He is survived by his children, Chamonix (Freddie Janssen) Mitchell of Ridgecrest, CA; Sasha (John) Salinas of La Junta; grandchildren, Corbin, Luther, Stephen, Camilo, John and Jake; siblings, Donna (Isaac Duran) Mitchell, Theresa (Gabriel) Gutierrez, Kathy (Patrick) McGary, and Kenneth (Christa) Mitchell; special nieces, Cheryl (Jarrod) Nagowski and Lydia Tell; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Kari Ellen Mitchell.

As per Dennis’s request cremation has taken place and services will be at a later date.
