Diane Lavon Adkins

Diane Lavon Adkins, 65, passed away on January 21, 2015 at her La Junta home. She was born on September 3, 1949 in La Junta to Roy & Irene (Roser) Hindman. She married Harvey E. Adkins on August 23, 1976.
 
Diane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She worked for the Pickle Plant, Gibsons, Spectrum, and Arkansas Valley Community Center. She received her GED in La Junta. She loved shopping, collecting purses, dream catchers. Anyone that knew her knew how loving, caring and what a special lady she was to everyone. She will be truly missed by family and friends.
 
Diane is survived by her husband, Harvey Adkins; son, Jeff E. Martin; granddaughter, Shaquanna (David) Vigil; grandsons, Loren Shoop, Bradley Martin, and Michael Cook; great-grandchildren, Shanel Hindman, Azariah & Urijah Vigil; brother, Jim Hindman and sister, Nancy Gebbie; brothers-in-law, Russell Adkins and Jimmy (Linda) Adkins; sister-in-law, Shirley. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Robin Hindman, grandson, Shawn Robinson; sister, Barbara Hutchins.
 
 
 

Memorial services will be Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Mike Dziolek of the Fountain Valley Baptist Church in Fountain, Colorado.
