Dorene L. Clarke

Dorene L. Clarke, 75, passed away on April 9, 2017 at her Walsenburg home. She was born on June 20, 1941 Chester Lee & Ida Jane (Merrill) Love in La Junta, Colorado. She married Robert L. Clarke on October 12, 1991 in Cheraw, Colorado; he preceded her in death on April 7, 2004.

She attended school in La Junta and also graduated from there as well. She attended Bible College in Omaha, NE and also at Otero Junior College. She worked at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center as a Cook and also was the head cook at the Ordway Nursing Home.

She is survived by her daughters, Beth Kelley of La Veta, CO; Jeri Love of La Junta, CO; step-children, Robin, Lee and Ann Clarke; grandchildren, Nikole Willhoite, JoBeth Willhoite, Samantha (Dalton) Mason; Clinton Kelley, Garrett Kelley, Christopher, Jacob, Jessica and Adrianna Love; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers & sisters, Wilber, Frieda, Mary Ann and Ernie; numerous nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Love. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary Love.

Memorial service will be Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Beecham of Crossroads Church in Swink officiating.
