Doug Valdez

Robert Douglas “Doug” Valdez, 56, passed away on July 28, 2015 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo. He was born on August 1, 1958 in Clovis, New Mexico to Robert & Elizabeth (Salazar) Valdez, Jr.


Doug graduated from La Junta high school class of 1976. He worked for the VA for 34 years and retired in 2014.


He was an avid Denver Broncos & Colorado Rockies fan. He enjoyed listening to rock music, laughing and joking with family and friends. He also volunteered with Meals on Wheels after his retirement. He loved his niece and nephew dearly and spoiling his great niece and great nephews. He will be sadly missed by all his family and numerous friends.


He is survived by his parents, Bob & Liz Valdez; sister, Denise (Burleigh) Castello; niece, Paula Sanchez and son Diego, who was also his godson; nephew, Levi (Amy) Castello and their children, Alexander & Kylia.


As per Doug’s request cremation has taken place and services will be at a later date.
