Edna Louise Walsh

October 9, 1919 — August 5, 2016

(Edna) Louise McCreery Walsh, 96, passed away Aug. 5, 2016 in Colorado Springs. She was born on Oct. 9, 1919 in Bentonia, MS to Esther Giles Weid McCreery and Levert Milton McCreery. She married Leonard in 1937 at 1st Christian Church and has been a member since.
She belonged to PEO in La Junta, Literary club and Brotherhood of Fireman and Engineers. After retiring they moved to South Fork. After his death she came back to La Junta to friends and family. Louise enjoyed playing bridge and many trips including China and Ireland.
She is survived by sons, Tom (Barbara) Sylvan Walsh of Grove KS, David (Alice) Walsh of Cadiz KY, and Bill (Anita) Walsh of Beloit, KS; daughter, Karen (Wayne) Boxler of Mesa, AZ. 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandchild, five sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard F. Walsh, a grandson, Keith Boxler, nine sisters and two brothers.
A memorial service will be Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church with Reverend Ron Skorick officiating.
