Edward Lee Peteque, Sr.

Edward Lee Peteque, Sr., 53, of La Junta went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2017 at the St. Mary – Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo. He was born on December 22, 1963 in La Junta to Louis & Eleanor (Lucero) Petetque. He was married to Pauline Peteque and together they had three wonderful boys.

He started out working in the kitchen and moved his was up to structural trades in 1985 for the Otero Junior College, where he was a hard worker and very dedicated he was liked by all and he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Edward was a loving and devoted son, brother and father, who loved his grandchildren and family dearly. He enjoyed listening to his music and having a few beers and dancing. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos.

He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Peteque; sons, Louis, Edward, Jr. and Anthony (Alicia); grandchildren, Izahiah & Zaymien, Jennisa, Maya, Mario, Joseph & Ciara; Nicholas & Hailyanna; sisters, Vicky Florez, Liz (Victor) Gomez, Terri (Isaac) Medina, Katie (Junior) Morales; brother, Robert (Christa) Peteque; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Peteque, uncle, Richard Lucero, nephew, Victor Medina, brother-in-law, Roger Florez.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., both services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Paul Ekeh of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
