Eva Costello

Eva Costello, 78, of La Junta passed away on August 15, 2017. She was born to Manuel & Livoria (DeReyes) Romero on February 24, 1939 in La Junta. She married Robert J. Costello on July 19, 1958 in Denver, Colorado at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on February 9, 2016.

She is survived by her children, Linda Moreno of Longmont, CO; Ramona A. Costello of Denver; Roberta (Erskine) Sankey of San Jose, CA; brother, Manuel (Louise) Romero of La Junta; sister, Lucy (Marcelino) Baca of Denver; eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband; siblings, Joe, Cora, Maria, Ursula, and Andrea.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas of La Junta Prayer Service will be Monday, August 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m., Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. All services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Henry Wertin officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
