Eva Leyva, 66, of La Junta, passed away June 3, 2023 at her La Junta home with family by her side. She was born Thursday, July 26, 1956 in Leoti, Kansas to Ted & Nellie (Camacho) Terrones.

Eva’s favorite things to do were hanging out with her loving family, gambling and dancing to her favorite music. She had a special relationship with everyone she loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Eva is survived by her husband Geronimo Gabriel-Alamo of the La Junta home; children, Estrella Leyva of La Junta; Kayla (Colton) Gallegos of Pueblo, CO; Cristol (Mario) Valdez of Pueblo, CO; grandchildren, Alex & Raquel Rodriguez; Brian Amaya; Krysta & Aubree Gallegos, and Ryan Valdez; brothers, Arturo Terrones and Rudy Terrones both of Crowley; brother in-law, Daniel (Kathy) Maestas; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ted & Nellie Terrones; sister Mickey Maestas; and nephew, Danny Maestas.
