Evalyn Ruth Widener

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Evalyn Ruth Widener (Rich) passed away on June 4, 2024, in Pueblo West, Colorado, at the age of 79.

She is survived by her brother John, children Karla, Steven and Michael, grandchildren Randi, Paige, Doran and Colton and great grandchildren Brody, Arlo and Harper.

She was born on August 25, 1944, in Cheraw, Colorado to Ila and John Edward Rich. In September 1972, she married Dale Widener, a mechanic and love of her life. The two ran a successful trucking business for 26 years in Golden, Colorado.

Evalyn was always the life of any party. She enjoyed gambling, thrill seeking, making friends and eating her dessert first. She adored her dogs Toby and Charlie and always made sure that they got a bite of whatever she had. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Her viewing is scheduled for June 11th from 10:30-11:30am at Peacock-Larsen funeral home 401 Raton Ave. La Junta, Co. 81050 with funeral to follow at noon in Rocky Ford cemetery 27980 Co Rd 20, Rocky Ford, Co. 81067.
