Franklin Price
August 22, 1937 – January 27, 2020
Franklin Dee Price “CBS”, 82, peacefully passed away 27th January 2020 at the Crowley County Nursing Center in Ordway, Colorado after facing a relentless battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Franklin was surrounded with family during his final moments.
Franklin was born, 22nd August 1937 in Trinchera, Colorado to George and Gladys Price. He later moved to Branson, Colorado where he attended Branson High School and graduated in 1955. Franklin spent more than 40 years as a Equipment Operator/Foreman (HLM, VSL, and TLM ) where he then retired. He was a member of the La Junta Cowboy Church where he fiercely showed his loved for the Lord Jesus Christ.
His love for his family will never be forgotten. Franklin loved to have a full house and hug on his grand babies. Franklin was passionate about camping, basketball, ranching, and attending church.
He married Sarah “Vi” Gregory on 10th November 1960 in Trinidad, Colorado and later moved to Manzanola, Colorado. “Vi” proceeded him on 27 July 1996.
He married Janice Price 27 December 2001 and she survives him. Franklin is also survived by his children, Russel ( Sheryl), Frankie, Rudy, Ray (Christina), Tanya (Ben), Karen (Mark), Barbie, Kathy( Rob), and Clifford( Stephanie). Grandchildren; Ashley ( Nick), Russel (Brianna), Johnaly (Dakota), Sarah (Leonardo), Franklin (Alicia), Sierra, Rudy, Sterling, Larry (Gabby), Austin (Sarah), Delbert (Lindsay), Jade (Isaac), Joshua, Candy, Carla, TJ, Mike, Holly, Bobbie, Chelsea, and Shannon. He will also be remembered by thirty great- grandchildren and more than fifty foster children Franklin devoted his life too over the years.
A Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, February 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Valley Cowboy Church. 26910 Hwy 109; La Junta, Colorado. Followed by a Graveside inurnment at 2:00 p.m. at Mountainview Cemetery, 31463 Road 11; Manzanola, Colorado.
