Fred L. Sisnroy

Fred L. Sisnroy, 60, longtime resident of Swink, died on April 7, 2013, unexpectedly, surrounded by family, at University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11am at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta.

Fred was born on February 1, 1953 in Walsenburg, CO to George and Patricia (McMahon) Sisnroy. He attended Swink School and graduated in 1971. He married Sharon Wilson on October 4, 1975 in Raton, NM. That year he also opened his own construction business, Arkansas Valley Construction, which he ran up until his passing. He was known to everybody as being a very hard worker. He enjoyed fishing, smoking meat and baking bread, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of the Swink home, daughters Kristen (Mike) McCartney of Westfield, WI, and , Shanyn (Harold) Krieger of Manzanola, grandchildren Ryan, Austin and Lauren McCartney of Wisconsin and Emmalee, Karley, and Toby Krieger of Manzanola. He is also survived by his mother Patricia Snyder of Cheraw, brothers Bob (JoAnne) Sisnroy of Charleston, SC and Michael (Tami) Lyons of Springfield, MO; sisters Susan (Mark) Vance of Swink, Annette (Scott) Zimmer of Pueblo West, and Louisa Sisnroy of Cheraw, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 2000.

Those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to the Full Gospel Church direct or through the funeral home.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11am at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta.
