Gabriel Robert Palacio

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gabriel Robert Palacio, at the young age of 66. He entered into rest on January 27, 2024, at his home. He was born to Salvador & Nellie (Morales) Palacio on January 6,1958, in La Junta, Colorado.

Gabe graduated from La Junta High School in May of 1976. He worked at Loves Country Store for the last 15 years. Gabe enjoyed his scratch tickets, spending time playing bingo and cards with his sister Lydia and was known to be a "diehard" Denver Broncos fan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gabe is survived by his siblings; Linda (Thomas) Chavez of La Junta, Colorado, Lydia (Ruben) Gonzales of La Junta, Colorado, Carmen (Theresa) Palacio of Denver, Colorado, Raymond (Darlene) Palacio of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Andrew Palacio of Pueblo, Colorado, Alex (Marian) Palacio of La Junta, Colorado, Linda Lopez of San Jacinto, California and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Nellie Palacio, Grandmother Elvira Morales, and sister Josie Gutierrez.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, February 9, 2024, at 9:30 A.M. followed by Memorial Mass at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish. Inurnment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
