Gene H. Jaramillo

Gene Jaramillo, 61, passed away on July 25, 2015 at his Rocky Ford home. He was born on May 27, 1954 in La Junta to Luis E. & Della (Encinias) Jaramillo. He married Mary Ann Gallegos.
 
He worked for the Sugar Factory, Willhams, and the Rocky Ford School District. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing on a pool league and was an avid Denver Bronco fan.
 
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann of the Rocky Ford home; son, Jeremy Jaramillo of Rocky Ford; daughter, Vanessa (Nick Green) Jaramillo of Fountain, Colorado; sisters, Cathy (Joey Lara) Jaramillo, Sandy (Gilbert Gallegos) Jaramillo, Donna (Daniel Baca) Jaramillo, Connie (Jimmy Garcia) Jaramillo, Nancy (Jack Barker) Jaramillo, Rita (Darrin) Medina, and Hazel (Robert Martinez) Jaramillo all of Rocky Ford; brothers, Randy Jaramillo and Edward (Sandra) Jaramillo all of Rocky Ford; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his big brother, Roy “Eyeballs” Jaramillo.
 


Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. and funeral mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. both services at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford with Father Paul Ekeh officiating. Interment will follow at the Rocky Ford Cemetery in Rocky Ford. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
