George Danny Hall

February 14, 1949 — September 28, 2014

George Danny Hall passed away unexpectedly Sept. 28, 2014 in La Junta, CO. He was born in Los Angeles, CA February 14 1949 to Josephine Sanchez.

He received his High School Diploma from Ignacio HS, in Ignacio CO. He served in the Marines 1966 - 1970. He was a career chef and worked in several different resorts/hotels. He played bass in the group Taking It Back for several years and was learning violin.

He was a father to Jess (Kim) Tapia, Amy (Felipe) Salazar and Dana (Miguel) Hall. He was a grandfather to Bernardino Salazar, Diego Salazar, JJ Tapia, Izaiah Tapia, Maribella Salazar, Jason Hall, Daniel Cardenas and Kamiah Tapia. He was a brother to Gloria Saiz and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his best friend Valerie Apodaca.

He was also very well known for his cooking, which was his passion. His talent was greatly known and highly admired. He was a great and cherished friend.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


Services will be at the Upperroom Fellowship on Friday October 3, 2014, at 11:00 am. Geno Gauna will perform What A Day That Will Be and One Day at a Time.
