George William Ansley, 99, passed away on November 20, 2017 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Nursing Care Center in La Junta. He was born on April 22, 1918 to William & Dora (Walker) Ansley in Haswell, CO.
After completing 8 years of education he went on doing various jobs including a few, working on the Road and Bridge construction, driving the school bus and serving on the school board. Along with farming and ranching. He was best known for working at the AFC office and buying fur from most of Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Cora of the Haswell home; children, Jim (Tina) Ansley of Perryton, TX; George (Melissa) Ansley of Rocky Ford; Gary Frick of Cheraw; Esther (Ruben Rael) Frick of La Junta; Ralph Frick of Haswell; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brother, David (Lucielle) Ansley; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Ruth Owens; siblings, Bill and Paul Anlsey.
As per George’s request cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
