Gerald V. Clark

Gerald Victor Clark, 90, Lifetime Fowler resident passed away on July 11, 2014 at the Fowler Health Care Center. He was born on September 27, 1923 in Fowler to Garry E & Alice C. (Dortenbaugh) Clark. He married Elaine on June 24, 1945 at the Fowler United Methodist Church; she preceded him in death on April 27, 2004. Gerald married Betty on May 5, 2006 at the Fowler United Methodist Church


Gerald farmed and ranched his entire life in the Fowler area. He served on the Soil Conservation Board and on many committees at the Fowler United Methodist Church.


He is survived by his wife, Betty of the Fowler home; sons, Blake (Rosemary Burbank) Clark of Denver, CO, Garry (Laura) Clark of Fowler, and Philip (Mary) Clark of Parker, CO; daughter, Beverly Harrison of Fowler; step-children, Lonnie (Debbie) Eder of Windsor, CO and Marlynn (Delton) Eikenberg of Haswell, CO; sister, Lyndy Ewing of Canon City, CO; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Elaine Clark, his sister, Lorraine Sigler, and his brother , Dr. Sterling Clark.


In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Fowler United Methodist Church, 302 Main St. Fowler, CO, 81039 or to the Cottonwood Links Golf Course, 1 Cottonwood Lane, Fowler, direct or through the funeral home.


Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


Funeral services will be Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fowler United Methodist Church with Reverend Brian Blackburn officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Fowler Cemetery.
