Gerard Munoz

Gerard Munoz, 44, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 20, 2009, at his La Junta home. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2009, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held March 25, at 2:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Richard Johnson of the First Assembly of God Church officiating.He was born on July 11, 1964, in La Junta to John & Jean (Sanchez) Munoz. He enjoyed cooking at El Azteca Restaurant, fishing, barbequing, and old hot-rods. Gerard was an avid Denver Broncos and Rockies fan. He especially enjoyed attending sporting events that his children participated in. Gerard is survived by his sons, Zachary & Jordan Munoz of Pueblo; daughters, Morgan & Kylie Munoz of Pueblo; mother, Jean Munoz of La Junta; brothers and sisters, Mona (Robert) Chaparro of Pueblo, John Munoz, Jr. of New Mexico, Monica (Charlie) Carson, Frank Munoz, Veronica Munoz, and Matthew Munoz all of La Junta. Several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and four great-nephews also survive.He was preceded in death by his father, John Munoz, Sr. on Mar. 14, 2003, brother, Bernard Munoz, and grandparents, Leo & Cleo Sanchez, & Merced & Pauline Munoz.Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
