Gregoria Valentina Lovato

Gregoria "Grace" Valentina Lovato, 81, went home to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by family and friends on March 3, 2014 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta. She was born on September 5, 1932 in Taos, New Mexico to Fermin & Felicitas Garcia.
 
Grace was the beloved wife and best friend of her one and only love of 52 years the late Aggie Lovato. She was a devoted of Mother and grandmother.
 
She is survived by her children, Alex (Lucille Cordova) Lovato of La Junta; Faye (Ken) Tanner of La Junta; June (Eloy) Salazar of Swink; and Rosemary (Dennis) Smith of Enid, OK; grandchildren, Stacy Lovato, Michael (Kandi) Moore, Alexandria (Floyd Ornelas) Lovato, Veronica Salazar, Omar (Amber) Lovato, Vanessa (Rudy) Martinez, Nick Tanner, Dana (Felicity) Tanner, Dennis (Samantha) Smith, Kendra Smith and Jorden Smith; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Moore, Michael Moore Jr. Kamil Lovato, Sophie Lovato, Brianna Martinez, KayLyn Martinez, Kaedyn Tanner and Alexander Smith; sisters, Paula Garcia, Lillian Morgan, Helen Dominguez, Ida Mondragon, and one brother Ramon Garcia. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Bennie Shipley, Rose Garcia, Luis Garcia, Ruben Garcia and Ana Garcia.
 
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Arkansas Valley Hospice, PO Box 408, La Junta, CO, 81050 direct or through the funeral home.
 
 

Visitation will be at 5 pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m., Sunday March 9th. Funeral Mass will be held Monday March 10th at 11 a.m., both services will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ordway with Father Paul Ekeh officiating. Interment will follow at the Valley View Cemetery in Ordway.
