Harold Lee Duff

Harold Lee Duff, 80, of La Junta passed away on May 27, 2013 in Englewood, Colorado. He was born on July 10, 1932 in Pampa, Texas to Max M. & Elizabeth A. (Boyer) Duff. He married Laura Nell Mullican on Nov. 22, 1950 and made their home in La Junta; she preceded him in death on Sept, 19, 2008.
 
Harold’s family moved to Las Animas, Colorado in 1945. He graduated from Las Animas High School. Harold owned his own body shop (Harold’s Body Shop) before retiring in 1998 after serving 60 years in the auto body business. He belonged to the Model A Ford Club of American and is on the National Registry, the Antique and Classic Car Club and also the Southern Colorado Car Club in La Junta. In the 1970’s he was a member of the Otero County Sheriffs Posse. He was also an avid bowler and bowled for many years on a league in La Junta. Harold belonged to the First Christian Church of La Junta.
 
He is survived by his son, Dan (Linda) Duff of Prescott, Arizona; daughter, Kay (Woody) Blackburn of Englewood, CO; two sisters, Betti (Riley) Walsh of Yuba City, CA, and Catherine Hutchins of Pueblo, CO; four grandsons, Scott (Melissa) Duff of Rocky Ford; Dustin (Jackie) Duff of Vancouver, WA; Jason (Tonia) Kracke of Englewood, CO;  Jared (Ashley) Blackburn of Englewood, CO; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and his sister Sharon Kay Duff- Salimino.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.at the First Christian Church with Ron Skorick officiating. Family asks that you dress casual as that is what Harold would prefer.
