Irene Carrillo Pantoya

Irene Carrillo Pantoya, 68, passed away on May 28, 2013 at her La Junta home. She was born in La Junta, Colorado, on August 28, 1944, to Manuel & Ofelia (Nava) Carrillo. Irene married Louis R. Pantoya on August 28, 1965 in La Junta, Colorado.


Irene is survived by her husband, Louis of the La Junta family home; children, Lisa (Chad) Smith of La Junta; Danny A. (Joanne) Pantoya of Pueblo; grandchildren, Steven, Deann & Danielle Pantoya all of Pueblo; Lexie, Jade, & Livia Smith of La Junta; sister, Rose (Leo) Montanez of La Junta; brother, Carlos Carrillo of Denver. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Paul Carrillo, and sister, Alice Gonzales and grandson, Nathan Pantoya.

Celebration of Life services will be Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will at the Ft. Lyon National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m, Friday.
