Jack Williams

December 20, 1925 — August 12, 2014

Jack Williams, 88, longtime resident of Las Animas & Huerfano County, passed away August 12, 2014 at his Swink home. He was born on December 20, 1925 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Fred & Aneda (Crowder) Williams. 
 
Jack lived most of his life on the family ranch near Walsenburg. After he retired he moved to the Arkansas Valley. Jack was a cattle buyer, horseman, cattleman, airplane pilot, and auctioneer. His dream and love was windmills, horses, cattle, wild life and the land. He loved to water a dry country.
 
He is survived by his children, Tim (Pam) Williams of Walsenburg; Doug Williams of Hill City, SD; Donna Sneller of Walsenburg; Lynda (Jamey) Streater of San Antonio, TX; brother, Jim (Jo) Williams of Ordway; sister-in-law, June Williams of Pueblo; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lyle, Barney, Pat, and Nell Williams; son, Darrel Williams and infant son, Dale Williams; infant great, great-granddaughter, Taryn Corsair.
