James Rightmyer, 72, passed away on August 11, 2018 at his Swink home. He was born on October 11, 1945 in Livermore, Kentucky to Roscoe & Dorothy (Goff) Rightmyer. He married Carolyn McClelland on May 25, 1968 in Olney Springs.
James worked at Nibco for 19 ½ years as a tool and die maker and later worked for Trane in Pueblo for 13 years as a machinist. He was a member of the NRA, was an avid hunter of big game and enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn of the Swink home; son, Eric (Irene) Rightmyer of Nurnberg, Germany and grandson, Christopher Gene Rightmyer of Nurnberg, Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Gene Rightmyer and sister, Elizabeth Ann Connor.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brandon Mills of the First Southern Baptist Church officiating.
Those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to the National Jewish Respiratory Hospital, 1400 Jackson Street, Denver, CO 80206 direct or through the funeral home.
