Jarin Dan Lasley, 11, of La Junta passed away on July 15, 2019 at the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 4, 2007 in La Junta to Tyler Lasley & Amanda Chavez.
Jarin was a loving and very affectionate child, who loved hugs from everyone. He enjoyed wrestling, football, and basketball. He was a huge Denver Bronco Fan. He enjoyed playing his PlayStation, swimming with his siblings, riding his bike, and spending time with his best friend, Angelito Rodriguez and his family. He always had a smile on his face when he was around his immediate family. He was a good student and had numerous friends that loved him dearly. He also had a special pet his puppy, Hawg who he enjoyed playing with. Jarin will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his father, Tyler Lasley of Pueblo; mother, Amanda Chavez, step-father, Joshua Quintero both of La Junta; siblings, Kayla & Taunisha Lasley; grandparents, Gary (Sandra) Lasley, Valerie (Steve) Chavez, grandmother, Delores Mascarenas,grandfather, Ross Chavez of Reno, Nevada; great-grandmothers, Deborah Abney, Tillie Mascareneas; great-grandfather, Jesus Pulido all of La Junta; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Joseph Gamez and Angelito Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Zayden Bustamante; great-grandfather, Rudy Mascarenas; Great-grandmother, Annie Pulido.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. both services at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Henry Wertin officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in La Junta. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.
