Jeremiah Eugene Gearhart

Jeremiah Eugene “Frog” Gearhart, 35 of La Junta entered into rest on January 17, 2014 at the Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo. He was born on May 25, 1978 to Stephen “Perry” & Sally Gearhart in La Junta.


Jeremiah enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles and ATV’s. But most off all he enjoyed being outdoors. He loved his dogs, Daisy and Chico. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.


Jeremiah is survived by his son, James, and daughter, Devin; parents, Perry & Sally Gearhart of La Junta; brother, David L. Gearhart of La Junta; uncles and aunts, Rod (Carolyn) Gearhart of La Junta; Cyndi (Paul) Bersagel of Pueblo; Vince (LaNette) Gearhart of Lamar; Stanley Gearhart of La Junta; Tony (Ruth) Minck of Pueblo West; Lynn Minck of Lafayette; Ellen Haarmann and Terry Clodfelter both of La Junta; Lisa (Mike) Negley of Sterling; Joe (Arah) Minck, Eric Minck, and Jon (Laura) Minck all of La Junta and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl & Shirley Gearhart and Raymond & Charleen Minck.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church direct or through the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Dr. Rex Williams, Pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating.
