Jesse Thomas Flores passed away with his loving family by his side; November 12, 2014 at Swedish Memorial Hospital Denver, CO. Jesse was born September 23, 1975 to Thomas Flores and Laura McCoy in Wray, CO. As a child in Wray, some of Jesse’s fondest memories were the times he and his sister Holly spent on their grandfather Bill McCoy’s ranch.

Jesse moved to Greeley in 1981 and obtained his education through the Greeley RE-6 school system. He graduated with the Greeley West class of 1993. He also received a degree from Otero Junior College, La Junta, CO.

In his youth year’s Jesse participated in many sports through the Rodarte Center and Greeley Rec Center, Greeley CO. His passion for Taekwondo gained him a state title and allowed him to participate at the national level. He also was a boy scout. In high school Jesse wrestled for Greeley Central and went on to compete in several state championships.

Jesse later moved to the La Junta, CO area where he met the love of his life, Monia Bernal. With this union a son was born, Antonio Jose Flores.

Jesse was employed at Lewis Bolt & Nut Company in La Junta for the past 14 years, where he was a leader, mentor and friend to many colleagues.

The precious part off Jesse’s life was being close to his family and friends. He never missed acknowledgement of a birthday or anniversary. In his spare time he enjoyed watching movies with his family, music, to include his favorite band, The Greatful Dead. Jesse was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and never missed watching a game. His true love was coaching and watching all the event's his children participated in, with his generous spark of his life.

Jesse could bring a smile to anyone’s face in a room with his sense of humor, jokes and contagious laughter; He will be greatly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William & Estelle McCoy of Wray, CO. Jesse is survived by his wife Monia Bernal of La Junta, and her parents, Joseph and Sue Bernal of Kim, CO. His father, Thomas Flores (Trina) of Ordway, CO, and his mother, Laura McCoy (J Gutierrez) of Greeley, CO. Jesse will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his children, Antonio Flores 12, of La Junta, Jacob Gonzales 13, of Pueblo, CO, and Sierra Rodriguez 20, of Greeley, CO. His siblings, Holly Flores (Robert Lucero) of Denver, CO, Thomas Flores & Cindy Flores, both of La Junta, Jenna Pittelkow (Nick) of Eaton, CO, and Jamie Ropp, (Justin Oltman) of Greeley, CO. His Grandparents, Richard and Hortencia Flores of Manzanola, CO., along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in La Junta. A dinner will follow the interment at the parish hall. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family at any US Bank; Jesse Flores Memorial Fund.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
