Jimmy “Jim” Marshall Harper, 75, of Swink passed away on February 5, 2017 in Denver. He was born on December 23, 1941 to John P. & Oletha M. Harper in Boise City, Oklahoma. He married Elaine Miller on August 27, 1959.
He worked as an auto mechanic at Eastside Garage in La Junta, where eventually he became the owner of the business. Upon retirement Jim enjoyed going to auctions where he never passed up a good deal, buying and selling was his specialty.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine of the Swink home; daughters, Sue (Mike) Smith of Canon City, CO; Debbie (Ted) Malott of La Junta; Cindy (Greg) Keasling of Pueblo West; Kristi (Steve) Vanhook of La Junta; Kerri (Matt) Eckerson of Pueblo; and Kelly (Jim) Hale of Rye, CO; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; extended family and friends also survive.
As per Jim’s request cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date.
