John Edmund "Shiny" Warn, III, 78, passed away at his little country home in La Junta on August 17, 2021. He was born in Walsenburg to John Edmund & Martha Elizabeth (Kissell) Warn, II.
He is survived by his children, Samantha (Steve) Eddy of La Junta; Anthony Warn of Rocky Ford and John Robert Warn; grandchildren, Zack, Anthony, Keri Warn & Joshua (Trisha) Lucero, Lacey, Michael (Tigre) Lucero; four great-grandsons; siblings, Judy Sena of Greenville, TN; Debby (Juan) Tovar of San Antonio, TX; Nyleca (Gary) Caddick of Lamar, CO; Cindy (Mike) Llnott Loxahatchee, FL; Daryl (Gladys) Warn of Broomfield, CO; numerous nieces, nephews & great-nieces & nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Gary & Edmund.
He was affectionately known as the favorite uncle and he treasured them! In dads early years, he served in the Navy & followed in the Army. Most of his life he lived in Lamar, CO and drove a truck. Later in life he moved by his daughter & son in law in his little home where he was close to his buddies (Red & Duke & kitties). He was a very independent guy & enjoyed his life & visiting everyone he could!! His favorite saying "I'm going to do it my way" and boy did he! He was loved by many and will be highly missed!!! A very special thank you to the sage kitchen girls & ALL his North Loaf N Jug girls!!
Graveside service will be Friday August 27, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at the Ft. Lyon National Cemetery with a Celebration of Life dinner (courtesy of Mauritta Adams) at the Las Animas museum, 560 Bent Ave. (upstairs) following the service.
