Johnny E. Wilson

Johnny Eugene Wilson (John), 55 passed away in a rollover accident on Thursday January 8th, 2015 between Boone and Ordway, Colorado.

He was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado on July 23rd, 1959.


John is survived by his wife Karen of 25 years, son Johnny Wilson (Hannah), daughter Monica Martinez (Mychael), daughter Krystal Button and brother Larry Wilson.

Grandchildren include Kaiya Marie Wilson and Trystan John Button.


He was preceded in death by his parents John and Karen.

John enjoyed camping, fishing, 4-wheeling and fixing anything with an engine. His favorite hobby was watching old Westerns. As a young man he served in the Army and was a champion bull rider.

Friends and family members describe him as "Superman" because of his ability to fix most anything and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. John was loved by all that crossed his path.

Peacock-Larsen Funeral Home & Arkansas Valley Crematory is in charge of arrangements.


The services for John will be held at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta, Colorado on Saturday, January 17th at 1pm.
